APPEARANCE : The first thing that stands out about Melania is her height. At 5'11 without heels, she's quite a tall woman. Her stature isn't something that bothers her personally, but it does get her a fair share of attention, which she tries to use to her advantage if she can. The second thing about Melania, after her height that stands out would most likely be her pale skin. It's quite natural, even though a lot of people don't believe her. She doesn't tan and hates the idea of trying to look like something she isn't. Her nearly ghostly skin is in stark contrast to her jet black hair. The one thing about her hair that she is rather particular about is the length. Very rarely will she allow it to fall any further than her shoulders. She likes it rather short, preferably at her neck when curled tightly.
She's taken to wearing her hair in a more traditional hairstyle. The rest of her look is also reminiscent of something women would have worn 30 years prior. There's no real explanation for it other than the fact that she likes looking that way. She's a very curvy woman and as such, prefers wearing outfits that show off her curves rather than hide them. She's not a stick figure by any means and is quite aware of how different she looks, even in the profession that she is in. She'd probably be considered something of a "plus-sized" model in modern terms namely for the fact that her hips, thighs anc chest are far bigger than a lot of "average" sized women. She's known for her deadly red lips as well. Melania's makeup speaks volumes. She spends more time on that than anything else, oddly. The art and idea of "putting on a mask" is something that has always appealed to her.
ATTIRE : The many outfits of Melania probably deserves its own book really. Though she can afford to wear some pretty expensive clothes, she honestly prefers wearing things bought at thrift stores and the like. She's not above donning a suit and has several. In fact, when she is out performing "business" transactions, one can almost certainly find her in some sort of suit, preferably one showing her long legs. She loves the colors, purple, black and red. It's rather rare to see her wear anything other than one of those colors or some sort of variation.
As was stated before, she loves showing her curves off and will wear things that accentuate her hips. If she's wearing a dress or skirt, it will most certainly be shorter than necessary. She's not really into showing a lot of cleavage...during the day. Though she's seen as a loose and fast woman, she does like to dress conservative for the most part. She's not your stereotypical hooker, that's for sure. Melania is really into standing out. She likes knowing that no one else is going to look like her. She hand-makes a lot of her own outfits and will be seen, on occasion, dressing up some of her girls to match her style. It's very unique, slightly out-dated and a little bizarre, but she loves her style.

EQUIPMENT : The only thing of note that Melania carries with her, are her knives and one small gun. She has a fetish for knives and in her profession, they've come in handy all too many times, sadly. She has two knives that rest on garters on both sides of her legs. She has another knife in her purse, and a small gun usually hidden in a pocket or heel.
PERSONALITY : Melania is a hard woman to truly get to know. She's good at "putting on the face", as she calls it. She's a professional "entertainer" and as such has learned how to be a good actress. Over the years, this skill has come in handy and has even proven to be a sort of defense mechanism. She doesn't let people get too close to her. She'd much rather keep them guessing. One can assume that she has trust issues. Melania has learned to adapt herself to those around her. She can be reserved, cold, calculated and even sarcastic at times. It depends on what she thinks she can get out of it, the environment that she's in, as well as her general mood. She considers herself an opportunist and when there is money to be made, she is willing to do whatever she has to in order to see to it that she gets it.
She's not greedy per say, but she does like money and having lots of it. She's power-hungry and has no morals when it comes to using people in order to get what she wants. She's always thinking in long-term, the bigger picture. Because she thinks that way, she's rarely concerned with the hear and now. If something hasn't happened already, she doesn't even think about it because she's already moved on to the next idea or agenda. She thinks big and expects those around her to equally think the same. She's pretty ignorant when it comes to her money and how she spends it. She'll throw lavish parties one minute, and shop at a cheap, department store the next. She just likes knowing that can do these things without having to really do them.
A lot of her negative traits come from people not really understanding her mind and method of thinking. She likes to think alone and is rather paranoid when other people are around her for long periods at length. She doesn't trust too many people and has built an invisible wall around herself. She gives off a false sense of emotion when around others, namely her "girls". People get the sense that she doesn't really care about them, and in a way, they are probably right. She pretends to be motherly towards them and a mentor, but the only thing she really cares about is being in charge. The fact that people have to listen to her, is what makes what she does worth it.
She treats men the same way she treats most people: indifferently. She wasn't one of the women who marched for women's rights a few years ago, but she also refuses to have anyone, namely a man, tell her what to do, or what she should be doing. People who know her or know of her, look down on her because of what she does for a living. Such criticism doesn't bother her because she knows most of those same people who publicly criticize her, ask for her "assistance" late at night. She's pretty protective of her clients and is also rather secretive. Most people who don't know what she does for a living wouldn't have any idea because she doesn't give up too much information about herself. She likes to keep things a mystery.
The biggest pet peeve for Melania is people not giving her what she wants. She can't stand being told "no". She's not above physically harming anyone in order to achieve something. She prefers to remain cool, calm and collective, but when she feels threatened, she will assert her authority by any means necessary. The biggest quirk about Melania is her need to stand out. She does this by her outlandish outfits. When she walks down the street, she knows someone is going to stop and stare at her. Even if they disapprove, the fact that they paid attention to her simply proves her point and she gets a rise out of angering people for no real reason. It's just her persona and presence that apparently rub a lot of people the wrong way.
SKILLS : The only real skill related to what she does is dealing with money. Most of her other skills are related to getting what she wants. It's the same as a lot of her strengths. She's not a physical, combatiive person. She doesn't know any forms of fighting, but she is rather skillful in knives and she knows how to fire a gun. Not that she's ever had to...
STRENGTHS : Melania is pretty quick-witted and sharp-tongued. She does things fast and expects something equally fast in return. Her mouth has gotten her into trouble on occasion, but she likes to use this in order to charm people into giving her whatever she wants. She's very skilled at making people hear what they want to hear. After all, she gets paid to be someone's fantasy for a few hours on an average. Though she doesn't have the kind of personality that people would naturally gravitate to, a lot of people get the feeling that she wrongly cares. She's really good at giving people a false sense of security, though her best strength would lie in her business-skills. She's built an empire from the bottom up without any real formal education.
WEAKNESSES : Melania's biggest weakness is her paranoia. She doesn't trust many people, if any at all. She's always looking over her shoulder, always guarding her assets and always making sure no one is short-handing her. She doesn't like relying on other people and would most rather do things herself. She's become rather emotional detached from society, making her feel at times less human than she should. It's hard for her to try and fit in with normal people. She can't have real conversations without being overly melodramatic and causing a scene. She almost reverts back into a child when things don't go her way; she's known for her infamous temper tantrums.
She's not really stubborn, but doesn't like being told that she's wrong either. As a result, she often times, rather unwisely, surrounds herself with "yes people" simply because she likes being told that she's right and can do whatever she wants, which she does anyway. She tends to consider herself "one of the people" and will go out of her way to emphasize this point. She walks around with an air of self-confidence, but a lot of people see it as arrogance. She herself doesn't really find herself all that attractive and relies on a lot of make-up, the darkness of the night, and made up persona's to comfort her.
RESIDENCE : Ricochet Ruins, a small Manhattan apartment. It cost her a lot of money, but she was able to afford it. She lives there with her son and a butler and maid. There are several floors. The first floor is where both she and her son sleep. The second floor is where she conducts most of her business operations and the third floor is where a lot of her parties are held.

HISTORY : The spring of 1948 was very special to the Lovell family. Franklin R. Lovell was the heir to a shipping fortune. The Lovell family lived in Upstate New York throughout most of the early 20th century in the massive mansion, dubbed "Ricochet". Franklin was a very stern, yet caring man. He loved his wife, Betty, and their several children. The Lovell's were one of the few families that could afford the finer things in life. The children were spoiled and got whatever they wanted when they wanted. Betty was a silent picture actress, but left the business when sound entered film around 1930. She gave birth to their first child, Archibald, that same year. Though a doting mother, she always secretly regretted leaving Hollywood.
Franklin was the sole provider for the family. The Lovell's continued to have more children with John, Harold, Edie and Sophia following all throughout 1946. Although Franklin was too old to serve in the military in the wake of the Second World War, he lent some of his fortune to the army. Honor and pride was something he instilled in his children early on, especially his sons. Though he loved all of his children, he was rather partial to his sons. This attitude was something that was felt on the women in the family, namely his own wife, Betty.
Betty was starting to grow rather discontent in her life and turned to alcohol to numb the loneliness that she felt in her marriage. She was a mother of five all by the age of 32 and was starting to grow depressed. Franklin dismissed his wife's mental problems, figuring she was tired. She started to grow distant towards her young children, leaving the nannies and maids to care for them during this time. When Betty discovered she was pregnant for the sixth time, she initially wasn't pleased. However, she made a vow to herself to get better in order to have this child. On April 5, 1948, Betty gave birth to another girl, whom she named after herself. Little Betty, as she was referred to was the exact spitting image of her mother.
Little Betty was considerably a lot younger than her older siblings and didn't really relate to any of them as a result. They kept to themselves and she kept to herself, a habit that would continue well into adulthood. She always felt like an only child because of the way her mother paid the most attention to her. It was true. Betty soon found herself more attached to her youngest daughter than to any of her older children. This caused much strife in the Lovell household. Franklin and Betty's marriage was slowly starting to fall apart by the time Little Betty was six. Franklin had never been an abusive man, but the stress of work, his wife's disturbing behavior and the constant needs of his children resulted in a different side of him when he came home.
A few times, he physically struck Betty. Once, he had done so right in front of the children. That image would forever haunt Little Betty. Betty filed for divorce after that scene took place. She wasn't going to stand around letting him hit on her. If he did it once, chances were, he'd do it again. She didn't want to give him that opportunity. By the time of the divorce, all of Little Betty's older siblings were out living their own lives. It was just Betty and Little Betty now. Knowing that he wasn't going to have to give up a lot of his money, Franklin was content with Betty having a small portion of his money, though in retrospect, it was hardly anything at all. Little Betty picked up on these things as a child.
Her relationship with her father, after that point, became rather estranged. Betty kept him away from her deliberately and she only saw her siblings off and on until she willfully fell out of contact with them for good. Betty and Little Betty left Upstate and moved Downtown to Brooklyn, New York. This was where Little Betty came of age. She always boasts about her wonderful upbringing in Brooklyn. She was able to keep her past out of people's minds and started guarding her secrets even closer. After the divorce she found it hard to trust people. She had very few friends and the kids that she did hang around with, were like her in a way. Some had also fallen from grace, others were secretive and manipulative, and others were just outsiders.
Her teenage years proved to be the most challenging to both her and her mother. Betty had to get used to the fact that she was now required to work for a living. It wasn't something that bothered her really, but she knew that her time with Little Betty was growing less and less each day. Little Betty, who no longer wished to be called that, was starting to grow into her own. Her height outreached that of her mother, who was also rather tall. Her hair became much darker in color and her outfits were becoming more daring. Betty had to admit that she admired her daughter's gravitas in wearing these bizarro outfits. The younger Betty became immersed in the psychedelic, counter-culture of the late 1960s. She experimented with drugs, sex, and started to challenge herself when to came to what to think.
Her mother hadn't any idea what to do with her daughter. The younger Betty had attracted the attention of a gentleman's club owner by the name of Sam Winters and offered the 20 year old a job there. She was finished with high school and showed no signs of continuing her education. For the next six months, Betty worked as a stripper at Sam's club. She attracted a lot of attention and adopted the name of "Melania". She was slowly starting to shed her image of her former life and the new name was the last remaining article. Betty was not happy with her daughter's decisions, or who she was associating herself with, but Melania was adamant about it. She and Sam became more than friends and eventually married in early 1969.
A year later, Melania was shocked to discover that she was pregnant. Neither she nor Sam were ready for children and Sam pressured her into having an abortion. When Melania refused, Sam threatened to leave her. She still refused and he walked out on her, as he promised. She was kicked out of their apartment and banned from his club unless she got her act together. The last time she ever saw him alive, he had told her never to come back and that he never wanted to see her again. She was heartbroken but vowed to carry the child to term and raise him, even if that meant doing so alone. She was slowly starting to adopt her seemingly emotionless personality.
On June 21, 1970, Melania gave birth to Shawn Winters. He was remarkably healthy, and she found herself attached to him. She was staying with a group of friends during this time but knew that this arrangement couldn't last much longer. This was when she first turned to prostitution in order to earn money. While working the streets during the nighttime, her mother watched Shawn during the day, completely unaware of her daughter's newfound job. When Melania earned enough money to take care of Shawn on her own, she paid her mother handsomely and set off on her own, only seeing Betty once or twice a year thereafter.
She relocated from Brooklyn to Manhattan and along with a few of her hooker friends, formed a tight knit bond. These girls called themselves "Pandora's Box". They quickly became some of the most sought after call girls. Melania knew that she was talented and that there was more to life than having sex, but she liked what she was doing and more importantly, loved the money she was making. She saw no reason to stop. She didn't really pay much attention to the crime that was going on around her. In her mind, it was something she had just gotten used to.
She was never familiar with the vigilante group's and was rather indifferent to anyone else's plight. It wasn't until 1973 that she first heard about a group called "the Guardsmen". One of her clients was a former member and would talk at length about what they did. She had grown interested but did nothing to seek it out. Another client, a female, introduced her to the Jezebel Girl's. This was when Melania hit the big time. It's also when she heard of Sam's death. Apparently, he had gotten into drugs hardcore and died of an overdose. She never saw a reason to explain him or his death to their son. In her eyes, he had already died.
Joining the Jezebel Girl's was like a dream come true for Melania. She was able to really do as she pleased and she made a lot more money in doing so. She learned about a lot of underground operations and slowly made her way from the bottom to the top. It was only apparent, as she was one of the few business-minded people around. She armed her girls with knives, after several brutal incidents prior. Melania hadn't forgotten about these vigilante's and eventually sought some out. She was able to hire one for "protection", though it didn't end well. She eventually resided in the fact that most men only cared about one thing, even when saving someone else's life was at risk.
At the moment, Melania is still the head of the Jezebel Girl's. Most people are surprised and shocked to know that she has an eight year old child. Most people are even more shocked to know that she came from "old money", and that her birth name is Betty Lovell. There's a lot about Melania that a lot of people will probably never get to know. She's hoping things stay that way. The crime rate is atrocious and she's currently looking for someone, or some people to make sure her "turf" is safe.
