What is Pendulum Swing?
PS is a original RPG set in an alternate timeline of 1978. Game takes place in New York City and revolved around a team of heroes, villains, neutral counterparts and regular folk surviving.
This sounds like Watchmen!
Indeed it does, our inspiration comes from Alan Moore’s graphic novel Watchmen as well as Frank Miller’s Sin City and a few other inspirations.
What is PS’s rating?
M. We will not be allowing anyone under the age of 16 to join. I don’t care how mature you think you are and you’ve read Watchmen a hundred times, I’m not Alan Moore therefore I run by own rules.
How many characters can I play?
Currently three (3) characters per player. If you’re interested in a fourth, send a PM to Edward Reed with your inquiry. The staff will discuss it and will get back to you as soon as possible.
Do you allow original characters?
Of course! It’s what makes up our game.
Can my character have powers?
No, sorry. Everyone is human in this game. There will be no Dr Manhattans running around.
Can I play one of the original Guardsmen?
Only a few of the first Guardsmen are still alive, but if you’d like to play a 60+ year old person, go for it! However we do ask that you pass it by staff before you start a bio. Second generation Guardsmen are perfectly fine but do be aware of the time line and use that to adjust your character’s age to it.
Can I play a child of/protégée of a Guardsmen?
Sure! But again, run it by staff since there are some established canon in the game history.
How old do I have to be, to play a second Guardsmen?
We have a timeline just for this. The game takes place in 1978 and the second Guardsmen ran from 1956 to 1969, not counting if you’re Government. That’s a 10 year stretch where you can jump in anytime and the youngest you could be was 16. So take your pick of age, time and add it all up.
What's with the new technology?
PS is an AU RPG and we are being lenient on a few things, such some tech. But try not to go crazy with it, even though this is a AU, it still needs to make sense.

Are you sure about that? Conspiracies aside, PS is a alternate time line of the real world. It varies and branches off right after WW2.
