[ ]The Bronx
Divided by the Bronx river, the borough's population is heavily condensed leaving a little less then a quarter of it as open space where Woodlawn Cemetery, Van Cortlandt Park, Pelham Bay Park, the New York Botanical Gardens and the Bronx Zoo reside. Residential areas of the Bronx are currently plagued by arsonists and livable housing and quality of life has declined dramatically. The Bronx also includes several small islands in the East River and Long Island Sound, such as City Island and Hart Island. It is also home to the prison facility Rikers Island, a few government buildings such as the Bronx court house and hall and the infamous Yankee Stadium. Housing ranges from low income housing complexes to the slightly less impoverished houses. The shopping district is heavily condensed under the elevated railway lines and include huge Fordham Road and the Hub. Too numerous to name, many bridges and tunnels connect the Bronx to Manhattan and Queens and the ever trusty subway.
00
[ ]Brooklyn
Heavily populated, Brooklyn has been a magnet for immigrants. Many neighborhoods contain their own cultural identity such as the Russian's Little Odessa and the Polish's Little Poland. Separated into diverse worlds, each one caters to a specific culture via communities, stores and restaurant. Also home to the Brooklyn Museum, the borough has become a great influence in arts, several great writers including Henry Miller and Betty Smith. The Brooklyn bridge, an infamous landmark connects to Manhattan over the east river. Coney Island is Brooklyn's biggest tourist trap with it's stores, amusement park and storied sports. The economy is driven by the collection of culture and being the convenient back office for New York's businesses. The new Guardsmen HQ has been set up under Aetole and Co careful watch in a off the records defunct warehouse on the East River near the Navy Yard.
00
[ ]Manhattan
Manhattan is loosely divided into downtown, midtown, uptown and Fifth avenue. Downtown is the center of business and government buildings and the renowned United Nations, World Trade Center and the Twin Towers. Midtown covers world-famous commercial zones such as Rockefeller Center, Broadway, and Times Square. It has also given birth to the infamous areas such as Hell’s Kitchen, Koreatown, Union Square and the Garment district. Downtown covers neighborhood from Marble Hill to Harlem and is a place away from tourism. Fifth Avenue is a major thoroughfare through Manhattan and is the most expensive street in NYC to live as well as the premiere shopping area. Fifth runs across the biggest park in the city, Central Park. A case of Legionnaires disease has popped up in many lower class areas of living and is slowly creeping it’s way across the borough. With the federal loan from the government, the city mayor has put it into affect and the last couple of years have been spent cleaning up parts of Manhattan where pockets of crime have fluctuated.
00
[ ]Queens
Considered one of the more suburban areas of NY, many regions have the feel of an easy and laid back mold. Located on the western portion of the island, Queens is home to two of the three major New York City airports, John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia and Shea stadium, well known for the NY Mets and Jets. One of the most iconic images of Queens is the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Park. An influx of Irish immigrants added to the overflow of Asian, swelling the once dominant Italian, the borough has remained widely diverse in culture. The epicenter of Jazz no more a couple of decades ago, it still clings to the classics and the younger bebop generations, punk rock is slowly gaining ground with the teen crowd. Western Queens is an artistic hub where many centers and museums congregate such as the Botanical Garden and Hall of Science. The economy is solely based on tourism, industry and trade. Long Island City is a major manufacturing and back office center. Flushing is a major commercial hub for businesses, while Jamaica covers major civic and transportation. The easiest way to get around Queens is via the subway and trolley.
00
[ ]Staten Island
Situated on a island of the same name, Staten is the least populated and often felt as the forgotten borough by natives. The North Shore, especially the neighborhoods of St. George, Tompkinsville, Park Hill, and Stapleton, is the most urban part of the island. The South Shore has more suburban-style residential neighborhoods and is home to the two and one-half mile long F.D.R. Boardwalk and , the central and southern sections of the island were once dominated by dairy and poultry farms. The Staten Island Ferry and Railway are housed in St George, two of the primary transportations outside of the world’s largest suspension bridge, the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.

[ ]Ancient History
They say the past is ancient history and you should always look forward. Good words of advice but the past is equally as important as the future. It makes us who we are today. This is for any threads and plots that happened pregame. From the beginning of your characters life to 1978, it is open to RP.
